Starting in the early 60ties to collect plants and seeds of plants in the whole world Peppino D'Ambra never thought, D'Ambra never thought, not even dreamt to be able to show of a succulent collection unique in Europe. 50 years later it has become evident that all energy, labour and passion invested was invested well. “ To create a botanical garden it is a dream became true”. All of you have the chance to meet that man, without him all this wouldn't exist, and to interview him personally.

22.07/26.07.2012 – 80th Festa di Sant’Anna - a competition between decorated barges from around the island, held in the bay near the Scogli di Sant'Anna, Ischia Ponte.
The rivalry at this Festa makes it one of the most popular events of the Ischian summer. www.festadisantanna.it

26.08.2012 - Festa of Sant’Alessandro, and the historic costume pageant - Ischia Ponte
This will be the 31th time that the Festa of Saint Alessandro has been celebrated with a costume parade through Ischia Ponte. Hundreds of participants will dress in sumptuous costumes that portray the island's long history and its successive conquerors - ancient Greeks and Romans, the many Royal Houses of Europe and on through to the Unification of Italy.
